Calcutta Exploring Rolling 5-3700 size Tackle Bag

I really like the very good big bag for long trips or to take everything you have. Five nice Calcutta 3700 size boxes. Smooth travel wheels, and good built in two wheel dolly, large heavy duty zippers with big pulls, nice pockets on top and front covers. Easy to access tackle trays and pockets. Downside: leans forward so trays could fall out if not secured. Does not have an hard internal shelf system (only velcro foam fabric) so when the top tray is out there is nothing to support the top compartment floor. Top carry strap attaches to top compartment flap (instead of the sides of the bag) so a heavy bag could pull the top zipper apart. Fabric rod tubes would work better with hard plastic tubes (owner supplied). So far this has been an easy bag to work out of. It's too early to tell how durable it will be but looks sturdy enough. I would buy it again!

The bag is huge perfect for a lot of storage can store anything in it. Good wheels and solid. I gave it a 3 star because of the top pocket. It leans downward toward the front so when unzipped what's in it falls out. The divider system is flimsy. The 3700 boxes are good. Side pockets are nice size too. Fix the top pocket issue and I would rate it 5 stars.

I don't fish, but I need a bag for jewelry supplies for a metalsmithing class. The 3700 boxes are super handy for organizing supplies and I changed a few out for different configurations to carry different items. The pockets are great for pliers, magnifiers, and all sorts of tools. I would give it five stars but the compartment on top opens super low, and anything in there can fall out easily. The zippers on top run into the the lower compartment because the upper dips so low. I don't know how you would keep reels in the front. It is heavy empty and heavier fully loaded, but durable and water resistant and I expect it will last a long time. Very versatile bag.
